An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Nurse leader to join the Surgical Senior Nursing Team.

As a key member of the Senior Nursing Team you will have responsibility for contributing to a person-centred culture to ensure an outstanding experience for staff, service users and patients, and creating an environment that promotes personal accountability and delivers continuous improvement.

You will provide vision, inspiration and professional leadership to nursing teams promoting excellence in all areas of clinical practice and patient care. You will work in unison with the Ward Managers for Surgery to support the development of innovative service models in line with the Trust’s strategy.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Nursing (ADN) / Midwifery/HCPC, the post holder is responsible for and will have a specific focus on visible, accessible and strong clinical leadership, patient experience and the delivery of safe, timely, high quality care.

The post holder will lead service and quality improvement programmes alongside supporting the operational management of the Division. This includes ensuring efficient and effective use of resources and the development and maintenance of the highest standards of patient care and service delivery.

In addition to this the post holder will be required to ensure that effective assurance is provided to the ADN/Midwifery/HCPC and Divisional Director of Nursing/ and Midwifery.

The post holder will have devolved and full decision making and judgement on any aspect of their responsibilities and will have the authority to act.
