An opportunity has arisen for to join the NCIC Estates Maintenance team as a Maintenance Craftsperson Electrical based at Carleton Clinic Carlisle.
The post holder will be responsible as a multi-skilled craftsperson (electrical Bias) for providing the highest quality professional service to North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust and other NHS Trusts currently under service level agreements with NCIC.
They will undertake the maintenance, installation, diagnostics and repair to a diverse range of systems within a large portfolio of different types of properties which include Acute/ Community /Mental Health Hospitals, Specialist Clinics and Administration buildings.
Maintain a diverse range of systems throughout Trust properties.
Follow and carryout planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes, including inspection and testing in accordance with departmental procedures and safe systems of work, completing relevant
Undertake fault finding on complex LV networks, critical systems and equipment.
Undertake fault finding on heating and hot water systems.
To assemble and install a wide range of electrical, electronic, medical and dental equipment and instruct end users on how to operate the equipment.
To service, fault find, diagnose, and repair a variety of medical devices and equipment to Government, NHS Trusts, MDA, and Manufacturers standards
Undertake portable equipment and fixed installation testing and inspection as required.
Follow detailed engineering drawings, specifications and interpret technical information and formulate technical solutions to improve equipment performance.
Prepare equipment for inspection by third parties and provide assistance where required for statutory inspection of passenger lifts, pressure systems etc. as directed by estates management.
Follow Permit to Work procedures when undertaking work in hazardous locations such as confined spaces, electrical locations, pressure systems etc.
Undertake electrical installations, inspection and testing in line with the latest edition of the wiring regulations BS7671.
