Barista

The Restaurant at Warbreck Garden Centre is a 200 seat bistro on the outskirts of Ormskirk, Lancashire, serving great quality food and drink in a welcoming, relaxed environment.

**Job Summary**
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages while providing exceptional customer service. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers, ensuring they have an enjoyable experience from the moment they enter.

**Duties**
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee shop, including workstations and seating areas.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards during food preparation and beverage service.
- Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions about the menu.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment and support each other in daily tasks.

**Skills**
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure the health and safety of customers.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and managing orders.
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in food preparation is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with customers and provide outstanding service.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £12.50-£13.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
