Job Title: Care/ Service Manager

**Salary**: Up to £30,000 per annum

Location: Market Harborough but will need full UK Driving Licence and own vehicle to travel when required

Hours: The hours are 37.5 per week plus additional hours as and when required to fulfil the needs of the business, predominantly it is 9 to 5pm.

**Job Purpose**:
To professionally manage and develop existing and new care packages ensuring a high-quality client service is delivered whilst effectively meeting the ongoing changing needs of your specific client base. Adhering to operational plans with a focused approachon quality. Meeting agreed financial forecasts and ensuring regulatory/contractual compliance.

Ensure the Company goals are achieved through effective management practices. Ensuring staff are motivated and supported to build positive and sustained client relationships, achieving and maintaining high performance levels.

Working closely with key personnel and Managers to achieve a good understanding and knowledge of the financial data involved in any care package. Must be commercially aware with the ability and willingness to develop and grow the business by actively encouraginga proactive and strategic business development attitude.

**Tasks & Duties**:

- To develop and manage individual care packages whilst adopting a holistic approach to meet client's needs.
- To ensure that packages are adequately staffed, and action is taken to avoid shortfall in staffing.
- To facilitate and oversee client rehabilitation using an outcome focused approach: enabling the client to identify and achieve their goals.
- Working in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams to build & maintain effective relationships.
- Preparation and attendance at client's reviews and meetings. Adopting an outcome focused approach enabling clients to achieve their goals. Liaising with other professionals to encourage and support clients to fully engage with their local and wider community.
- To effectively manage all administration tasks in line with your role ensuring client records are up to date. To be responsive and proactive.
- To positively engage with clients, their circle of support, ensuring the client is at the centre of their care and support.
- Working in line with CQC requirements, constantly evaluating and updating all client paperwork, which includes care plans and risk assessments, ensuring it reflects the clients wishes, needs, aspirations, psychological, emotional and physical wellbeing.
- To understand and demonstrate a good working knowledge of Safeguarding Adults/ Children legislation and the Mental Capacity Act. Report and identify risks/potential abuse, competently manage any incidents, following the investigatory process through tocompletion. Evidencing the process and actions taken.
- Manage and investigate complaints and concerns in a timely manner and ensure the outcome is communicated to relevant parties.
- Responsible for leading and effectively managing teams, through:

- Regular supervision
- Annual appraisals
- Checking compliance through auditing work
- Training
- Team meetings
- Internal reviews
- KPI's
- Providing ongoing informal support
- Be part of the out of hours (CEL) rota providing telephone support to staff and onsite support if required as well as providing adequate office cover to ensure the smooth running of the service.
- Support and assist the Registered Manager in the ongoing the development of the service and contributing to long-term strategic plan incorporating the Care Act 2014 and CQC Regulations and legislation.
- Ensure that all services comply with contractual and legal requirements
- Be responsible for your professional development by keeping up to date on training, industry news and any changes.
- To comply with relevant legislation, operational guidelines and policies of New Horizons Care.

**Qualifications**

Diploma/NVQ Level 3 in Management for Health & Social Care.

**Experience**

At least three years management experience within a health & social care environment.

Previous experience of external multi-site client locations.
