**Permanent full time**
**Hours - Monday to Friday 39hrs**
**Salary £11.00 - £15.00 per hour depending on experience**

Our client, a leading Tonbridge-based engineering/manufacturing giant is looking to add to their paint coating department with a Powder Coating Operative.
**Responsibilities**:
- To prepare fabricated parts for powder coating including washing, and blasting of components
- Masking of threads and bores to protect from shot blast damage and paint ingress
- Handling these components through the blast equipment and washing equipment to achieve a good surface finish and high cleanliness level ready to accept the paint
- Hanging components in an efficient manner for priming, painting, powder coating and baking
- Coating of components in line with Company defined process
- Transfer painted components to the ovens for baking
- Unloading components and packing for delivery to production areas and stores ensuring the paint finish is not damaged
- Day-to-day monitoring of the chemicals in the industrial washer
- Day-to-day monitoring of the blast profiles
- Batch inspection of the powder coat thickness achieved on components
- Daily cleaning of powder booths guns and general area
- Daily and weekly 5s and housekeeping duties
- To take personal responsibility for the PPE issued and ensure it is kept in good condition at all times
- To comply at all times with the company H&S policy and to ensure that all work is carried out in line with the relevant Risk Assessments
- To adhere to the Company’s environmental policies and legal duties, specifically control of emissions, management of solvents and the disposal and recycling of waste products
- To undertake other duties and responsibilities of a similar nature which reflect the level of those described above that may be required by management
**Ideal Skills and abilities**
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to visually inspect each component as it is being coated
- Able to work to high-quality standards
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly
- The ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Good time management
