**Experience**

As a as Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and processing of the monthly/four weekly payroll for our employees. This role requires accuracy, confidentiality, and a good understanding of payroll legislation and systems. You will also support the finance department with a wide range of accounting tasks including bookkeeping, invoice processing, bank reconciliations, and general administrative duties. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth running of financial operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the end-to-end processing of company payroll(s) accurately and on time.
- Input, update, and verify employee data including starters, leavers, salary changes, and deductions.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity across systems.
- Liaise with HMRC and pension providers where necessary.
- Support the Head of Finance with reports, audits, and compliance checks.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations including tax codes, NI, SSP, SMP, and auto-enrolment.
- Reconcile payroll data and support month-end and year-end processes.
- Process purchase and sales invoices accurately and on time.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Maintain the accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers.
- Handle petty cash and employee expense claims.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Respond to supplier and customer queries professionally and promptly.
- Maintain accurate and organised financial records and documentation.
- Perform general administrative tasks to support the finance team.

**Qualifications**

Qualified Accounting Technician - AAT - _Desirable_

Pay: £25,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
