Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, as one of the Hose Assembly Shift Leaders you are responsible for:

- all operational areas; specifically Goods receiving, Piece Part Stores and Hose Assembly;
- acts as the leader in all of the above areas and responsible for all Cell Leaders and Production Operators;
- achieving company objectives for Health & Safety, quality, productivity and environmental control and ensure that all operational systems and procedures are adhered to;
- collecting continuous data to allow for the performance measurement and continuous improvement within defined areas of responsibility;
- taking the lead in identifying and managing continuous improvement objectives;
- leading the Hose Assembly team; conducting performance reviews, developing and ensuring the completion of training plans and performance management;
- Motivate and support team members to communicate and co-operate at all levels;
- Ensure that all applicable health and safety procedures/working practices are complied with at all times;
- Ensure that all environmental control procedures and quality control procedures are complied with and appropriate records kept and maintained;
- Support the Operations Manager in completing improvement projects consistent with company objectives.

Overtime may be required in line with business needs, as approved by Management.

**Required Experience**:

- Educated to higher education standard (A Level or equivalent)
- Ideally hold a professional qualification relevant to the position i.e. business management, leadership
- Ideally 5+ years in a manufacturing environment with a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of a Production operation
- Experience of leading a team is essential

**Required Skills**:

- Customer focused
- Proven leadership skills and ability to train others
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal) enabling team members to understand and support company goals and objectives
- Demonstrate the ability to adapt and change
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
