**The Role
Are you a Business Development Manager looking for an opportunity to take your career to the next level? If so, we are looking for you.
We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Area Sales Manager to help us expand our clientele. This is an opportunity for someone who knows how to get things done and is good at engaging with clients.
**Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the Area Sales Manager include, but are not limited to:
- Effectively identify, prospect and close new accounts for both Herd Business and Herd Connect via varying methods (social media, cold calling, e-shots, networking).
- Support Care Support Executive in ensuring account compliance and obtaining documents where needed.
- Regularly communicate opportunities via Herd Business and Herd Connect with new and prospective accounts.
- Ensure sales targets are met across both Herd Business and Herd Connect channels in accordance with ‘On road’ and ‘live’ schedule.
- Communicate weekly via ‘sales and prospect report’ to the Head of Sales (and more regularly if required) numbers and prospects across all channels, providing detailed reporting.
- Regular meetings with current and prospective accounts across both Herd Business and Herd Connect channels ensuring any support needs are highlighted and actioned.
- Support and action any ongoing customer needs via correct department and ensure any queries are dealt with in a timely manner.

- A strong salesperson (ideally coming from the industry) that can hit the ground running.
- Proven sales track record.
- Entrepreneurial spirit.
- Customer care experience.
- Ability to support our ops and accounts team internally.
