The school require someone who has worked as a TA in schools previously, due to the nature of the pupil you would be supporting. However if you have worked in a care setting, security, probation or social services, you may have key transferable skills. Responsibilities and duties:
- Supporting 1:1 in class
- Help the students to access the curriculum and tailor the lesson activity to their level of ability
- Build a strong relationship with the pupils and teaching staff to ensure that the pupils are achieving their potential
- Be a support to the students when they are struggling, and help them to calm down and remain focussed
Essential criteria:
- Previous experience working with individuals with SEN/Autism/Complex Needs/SEMH
- Have a right to work in the UK (A Valid Visa)
- At least one recent child-based reference and relevant DBS/ Police checks.
