**Infrastructure Engineer**
Our client is looking for an experienced Infrastruture Engineer to joint their Business Change and Infrastructure team and take responsibility for the co-ordination of work relating to Infrastructure and 3rd line support topics. You will work with our outsourcedmanaged service provider and various other suppliers, including liaising with the IT operations team, to ensure that all systems meet with all group parameters.
This will cover areas such as servers, end clients, cloud services, etc. You will also have the opportunity to work on key infrastructure projects that will be key to the success of the UK business strategy.
**Primary Responsibilities
- Act as the 2nd/3rd line technical support for any issues that require escalation, ensuring timely responses to requests.
- Provide 3rd line support for the Helpdesk, resolving infrastructure related issues within SLA targets
- Management and troubleshooting of incidents relating to:
- Active Directory including Group Policy
- Server environment (Wintel)
- Creation and management of scripting where required (PowerShell)
- Working with the Infra Hosting provider to perform proactive maintenance of Infrastructure environment as required
- Working with the Security Lead to minimise the risk of security breaches within the PC/Server environment (via Anti Virus, patching, domain policies, server hardening etc)
- Ensure the development and maintenance of appropriate documentation, security and controls over all IT process, systems and infrastructure.
- Assist with centrally managed IT and Security projects when required
- To assist as directed on any other business projects and tasks required by the business but with the ultimate aim of supporting the UKs business strategy and financial objectives.
- Develop, produce and maintain IT documentation and IT procedures as required
