A sizeable PE backed Healthcare firm with multiple divisions & entities have recently re-structured post merger and now require an ACA / ACCA Qualified Accountant to join their sizeable finance function.
With only 3 days a week required in their Kent office, the rest from home, this role reports to a Senior Group Accountant.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Coordination of the financial audit and interim audits for the group as required, review of statutory accounts prepared externally (at current time - likely to bring in house and include accounts preparation going forward).
- Review of adherence to accounting policy at all times and promoting consistency across all areas of the group.
- Review of financial data for new group acquisitions and integration of relevant data into Sage X3 accounting system.
- Ownership of group chart of accounts and month/year end close process, with associated adjustments as required.
- Responsibility for fixed asset accounting, capex monitoring and reporting.
- Ownership of holding company accounting and group elimination entries.
- Investment accounting within the group.
- Group VAT processing of returns, payments and reconciliations at legal entity levels, working with the wider Group Finance team to ensure compliance with VAT legislation.
- Reconciliation of Corporation Tax for all group companies, responsible for ensuring corporation tax payments are made in a timely and accurate manner, providing relevant quarterly information to advisers to facilitate tax calculations, related liaisonwith external and internal stakeholders.
- Supporting the group to make best use of new tax initiatives available and that the group is fully compliant with current tax laws and regulations.
- Development and preparation of group cashflow reporting, working with other finance teams to maximise working capital, develop best practice cashflow reporting to support business development planning.

**Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications**
- ACA / ACCA Qualified Accountant either straight from Practice or with 6 months to 1 year Post Qualified experience in a sizeable Commercial firm

**Working Environment**
- Hybrid working with 3 days per week in the Kent office, 2 days at home.Other UK travel may be required from time to time on an ad hoc basis.
