Sister/Charge Nurse, Oncology Outpatients Department, Monday to Friday hours, 8.30am to 6pm, salary up to £50,000 **Sister/Charge Nurse** **Outpatients Department London** **£42,000-£50,000** We are proud to have partnered with a leading private hospital organisation offering care across a range of medical and surgical interventions. We are currently supporting them with the recruitment of an Sister/Charge Nurse to work in their specialist Oncology-HaematologyOutpatients Unit. Within this unit patients attend for day case chemotherapy and related treatments as well as consultant appointments. **THE RESPONSIBILITIES** The overall responsibility of this position as a Sister/Charge Nurse is to deliver oncological nursing care to chronically or critically ill patients. Your day to day will involve providing necessary assessments, administering treatments and communicatingwith all patient care providers to help develop a plan tailored to each patient's needs. You will comply and promote infection control standards and co-ordinate with other team members to ensure patients to be readmitted are rescheduled and booked accordingto procedure.Yyou will also be responsible for the administration of cytotoxic drugs. Working as a Sister/Charge Nurse you will act as a role model, providing leadership to the wider team but also getting involved in mentoring junior members of staff. in asenior role you will also get involved in appraisal and performance review meetings and assist with recruitment of staff.
