**Salary: £24,890.91 to £27,087.17 pro rata**

**Work Pattern: 16.25 hours per week, (14:45 to 18:00 during term-time and various shifts during school holidays)**

We support families by providing a safe and fun environment for children and young people while their parents/carers attend work, training, or further education. Our clubs offer a wide range of play-based activities that keep the children engaged and happy.

**What You’ll Do**

**Plan and Supervise Activities**: Work with other likeminded individuals to plan, create and inspire the children to engage in a wide range of activities and experiences.

**Set Up Play Spaces**: Create magical, inviting play areas to allow the children to be creative and capture their imagination and interests.

**Encourage Independence**: Support children to explore their interests, confidence, self-esteem and life-long skills.

**Provide Nutritious Snacks**: Support children to make healthy snacks that cater to dietary and nutritional needs.

**Handle Accidents/Incidents**: Be the hero in emergencies with your quick response.

**Assist with Record Keeping**: Support the Senior Childcare Practitioner to ensure everything is organised and running smoothly.

**The Person**

If you are someone who:

- Is fun, engaging, adaptable, enthusiastic about working with children and young people.
- Has experience of working with children and young people within a play, care or learning setting.
- Is willing to work towards the SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People) or already holds a suitable qualification.

**Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland.**
