Robert Half Cambridge have partnered with a growing construction company in Waterbeach, Cambridge in their search for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their Finance Team.
This role will be responsible for updating and maintaining our process ledgers, which includes raising supplier and customer invoices, raising purchase orders, ensuring compliance with CIS. This role is paying a salary up to £32,000 depending on experienceand is based in the office full time.
**Responsibilities**:
- Monitoring and processing a variety of different types of invoices received into the accounts inbox
- Approving and posting supplier invoices.
- Reconciling Xero to supplier statements.
- Raising customer invoices and matching against POs.
- Month end checks and reconciliations
- Processing weekly CIS subcontractor invoices and sending remittances.
- CIS verification of subcontractors
- Monthly bank and credit card reconciliation
- Following up on outstanding invoices
**Skills**:
- At least 2 years bookkeeping experience.
- Xero experience would be an advantage but not essential.
- AAT Qualification
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- An ability to make decisions under pressure when needed
