**Salary**: £25,207 - £26,517 per annum (pay award pending)
**Contract**:Full time, Permanent
**Hours**:35 per week

**About Us**:
The Finance Department based at Oaklea’s Station House Office in Kendal are looking to appoint a Senior Finance Officer for 35 hours per week.

**Senior Finance Officer - About the Role**:
The position is blended between office and home working, based in Kendal, however occasional travel will be required to all sites within the group.

**Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Work within the Finance team to ensure appropriate financial systems are in place to effectively and accurately monitor and record the income and expenditure of the organisation.
- Support the Finance Officers & Finance Manager in ensuring all financial issues are effectively resolved.
- Ensure that deadlines for the input of income and expenditure are met in order for the Finance Manager to run accurate and timely Management Accounts.
- Support operational managers at our subsidiary company in making sound financial decisions.

**Senior Finance Officer - Skills and experience Required**:

- Generating sales invoices, allocation of monies and debt chasing
- Processing and payment of purchase invoices
- Generating prepayments and accruals for monthly management accounts
- Recording and reconciliation of bank and cash account transactions
- Handle incoming calls and enquiries within the department
- Excellent IT skills, particularly with Excel spreadsheets
- Experience working with accounts software preferably Access Dimensions
- Have the ability to multitask and prioritise your own workload, work well under pressure and to deadlines.
- Reconciliation and posting of salaries information obtained from payroll bureau.
