The Royal Oldham Hospital provides a unique and much needed service not only to its local community but also across Greater Manchester.

We are looking to recruit Healthcare Assistants to support our nursing team on The T4 Acute Medical Ward which is a busy 28 bedded unit. We look after patients with a variety of acute medical conditions who are generally admitted to us from A&E/AMU. We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced healthcare assistants to join our team. You will report directly to the senior nurses in charge of the ward.

This really is a unique opportunity for Healthcare Assistants who are looking to pursue a career in a hospital setting. We’d love to show you around so you can see for yourself. Informal visits are welcome, please contact the ward and speak to any of the Senior Nursing Team.

The Healthcare Assistant role is key in ensuring that our nursing teams are supported to deliver consistent, high quality, patient centred care.

Your care for other people and your willingness to go above and beyond to provide the best possible care to patients and relatives will ensure your success in the role. Friendly and approachable in your style, you’ll be someone who can communicate well, be able to organise your workload accordingly and be a reliable point of support for patients, relatives and your colleagues.

Completion of an NVQ level 2, apprenticeship in Care or equivalent training is essential for this role, please refer to the job description.
