Legal Secretary

We are currently looking for a Legal Secretary to join our Private Client team to support our fee earners.
The Private Client team is a key part of the business. Many members of our team hold Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners qualifications and are part of Solicitors for the Elderly. We act for a vast number of high net worth clients as well as actingfor several private family charitable trusts, an area that is constantly growing. We are experienced in helping clients to manage their domestic and international estate planning needs.
The role is to be based in our Cambridge office on a full time basis.
You will provide efficient legal administration support for busy teams therefore you will need experience of working in a similar role in a fast-paced environment. On a day to day basis you will:
- Work on legal documents, proof reading and formatting
- Produce invoices and maintain billing spreadsheets and trackers
- Create reports (billings, WIP)
- Produce documents using audio typing.
- Conduct searches (Lawyer search, Insolvency, Compliance regulation)
- Take telephone calls and field enquiries as appropriate
- Provide support to the team handling room bookings, diary management and travel requirements.
**About You**
You will have a solid grasp of Microsoft systems and preferably experience in Case Management systems (SOS) and document management systems (iManage). You must have a keen eye for detail. The ability to manage tight deadlines, changing priorities and volumeworkloads is a pre-requisite for this role.
You must be well organised, be able to multi-task and take a pro-active approach to your work. You’ll be a team player and willing to get stuck into new things. Legal experience is not essential, however, experience of working in a professional servicesenvironment is desirable.
