**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**

Santander Consumer Finance UK (SCUK) is based in Redhill, Surrey and provides motor finance to a network of dealerships throughout the United Kingdom.

An exciting new position has come up within the IT projects team to oversee SCUK’s loans platform ensuring the product meets the present and future needs of the business.

You will be reporting into the CIO and supported by a great team.

**What you’ll be doing**

Responsible for the product design, development roadmap and live service for Santander Consumer Finance’s loans platform. Responsibilities include:

- Buildout and prioritization of the product backlog
- End to end ownership, quality control and performance of the product
- Strategic vision of the product, including the development roadmap
- Financial and demand management for the product
- Stakeholder management across the business and third-party suppliers
- Present reports to stakeholders on progress, including risks, issues, and suggested solutions regarding delivery
- Management of the product team including resourcing, line management, prioritization and optimizing ways of working, including direct reports of a team of Business Analysts, a change/release manager plus a testing team, indirectly a development team of up to 10FTE in Spain will report into this person
- Acting as the technical consultant for new projects and be the intermediate between the business and engineering teams
- Creation of project plans with appropriate milestones, defining tasks and allocating resources
- Deal with or escalate any identified risks in relation to Santander Consumer risk policies and/or legislative and regulatory guidelines in accordance with the Santander UK group risk framework
- Developing and owning the 5-year strategy for the FIBA product system upgrades and obsolescence

**What we’re looking for**
- 5 years+ experience as a technical product owner or similar role
- Experience with software development lifecycle
- Experience with agile methodologies
- Experienced in.NET and Oracle technologies
- Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
- Creative thinker with a vision
- Have a high-level understanding of technical and operational product aspects that need to be considered for product decisions
- Experience in the financial services industry preferably in consumer finance.
