**What will you do as a logistics Specialist?**

The position also will include cross training in other departments in order to support during peak volume times, annual leave, and illnesses. The primary focus on support will be shipping, but will also include the other departments within logistics such as goods-inward, goods-outward, and kit assembly. Training will be fully provided for all positions.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Organise required documentation for the shipment of parcels to domestic and international customers
- Provide appropriate documentation for customs clearance
- Solving Customer issues and providing the highest level of customer service as a representative of LGC.
- Always observe Company H&S requirements
- Ensure the safety risks in the stores are understood, managed and controls are maintained
- Assembly of kits for shipments
- Creation of Commercial invoices
- Communication with customers regarding orders
- Communication with internal departments for status updates for upcoming shipments
- Supporting other logistics departments such as goods-inward, goods-outward, packing and shipping
- Proactively identify barriers to shipment for future dated shipments
- Document delays in shipments
- Respond to requests from regulatory bodies and customs clearance agencies regarding shipments
- Meeting any requirements from regulatory authorities and compliance

**Qualifications**

**Experience Required**
- Experience within a logistics role is essential
- Knowledge of varying couriers and freight forwarders
- Ability to work well both in a Team environment and without supervision
- Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)
- Flexibility with working hours is essential for this role in achieving targets during periods of high demand or major change
- Excellent attention to detail

**Experience Desired**
- Global shipment documentation experience
- Specific knowledge of India, Egypt, South Africa, and Brazil
- INCOTERMS knowledge
- Experience with tariff and HS commodity codes for multiple international countries
- Experience with regulatory bodies across multiple countries
- IFS MRP
- Warehouse or logistics
- Export/import coordinator experience desired
