**Job** **Purpose**

As Waste Operative your main purpose will be to:

- To effectively deliver a wasteaway service from the Terminal and surrounding site
- To transfer waste in a timely and effective manner
- To deliver the end to end process for the retail waste away process including delivery of recycling, food and waste bags
- Waste sortation at source in the recycling plant

**Principal Accountabilities**
- Responsible for operational delivery of waste removal
- Reporting of any contamination of recycling waste
- Excellent knowledge of waste away services and recycling constraints
- Be a champion of promoting recycling within the airport to drive improvements
- Manage any necessary remedial action when services do not meet the required standard
- Delivery of continuous improvement and efficiencies

**Knowledge, Experience and Skills**
- Knowledge of waste away processes
- Physically able to carry out the tasks including manoevering up to 1100 litre wheelie bins
- Able to understand a peak and flow operation and react in real time to operational requirements
