**About the team**: The Regional Programme Lead is a new post. You will work between the Enterprise and Commercial Directorates.

The Enterprise directorate aims to develop and deliver a range of programmes and projects to grow the social enterprise and co-operative economy. Currently this includes a large business advice programme that supports new start and growth social businesses as well as projects to promote community shares and social care co-operatives.

The Commercial Directorate aims to develop and deliver a range of high-quality products and consultancy services in line with our objective of making positive change happen. The team is responsible for winning new business and establishing new business partnerships.

**Purpose of the role**:To manage Cwmpas’s engagement with regional policy and with regional development funds, in particular the UK Shared Prosperity and Levelling Up Funds, in order to influence local and regional investment plans and lead on the development of new projects, as part of the succession planning for EU funded projects.

**Location**: Working across Wales and occasionally beyond, some travel required as necessary but in line with our aim of being carbon neutral, remote delivery or sustainable transport options is prioritised.

**Relationships**: Reporting to the Commercial Director. No direct reports at present. However this is a new role, and the role holder will be expected to manage people in the foreseeable future.

Other key relationships internally include SLT and other managers.

External relationships include UK Government, local and regional authorities as well as other stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:You will have a good standard of general education.

**Knowledge/ Experience**: You will have substantial experience of:

- Developing and implementing new projects.
- Bidding for and securing new contracts.
- Managing external relationships.
- Influencing policy and practice.

You will have knowledge of policy and of programmes in the areas of social enterprise, co-operative and economic development.

You will be politically aware and have an excellent awareness of the political, economic and social context in which we operate.

**Skills**:

- You will be skilled in designing and implementing new programmes and projects.
- You will have good influencing skills and skilled at policy development.
- You will be skilled in project and financial management.
- You will be skilled at managing people and high performing teams so that colleagues are fully utilised, motivated, coached, performance managed and mentored.
- You will have good organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to tight deadlines under pressure.
- You will have good written and verbal communication skills across a variety of formats and styles.
- You will be skilled at developing and maintaining strong relationships at a senior level.

All staff are expected to be able to work independently and as part of a team and organise work in order to meet multiple deadlines, build effective relationships and use MS Office and online meeting tools.
