Oakleaf are currently recruiting Bank Support Workers/Healthcare Assistants to join the Bank team, supporting individuals living with mental health, learning disabilities and challenging behaviour at our service based in Riddings.

Day and Night shifts available.

Ideally you will have experience of working as a Support Worker or Healthcare Assistant in a similar environment although full training will be provided. We are looking for like-minded professionals that share our values in delivering quality Care. This is a Bank role - with no guaranteed hours each week; we are looking for people who can work Day and/or Night shifts when available. All shifts are 12 hours and there are plenty available for the right person.

**Main duties of the Support Worker role:

- **
- Ensure that service user rights are protected
- Maintain the hygiene, dignity, health and safety of service users at all times
- Assist service users individually as required to support them with daily routines and activities
- Observing service users ensuring a safe environment, protecting them from harm
- Encourage a model of self-care and service user rehabilitation
- Work in co-operation with members of multi-disciplinary health teams so as to maximise opportunities for service user therapeutic care
- If applicable, assist in the administration of medication

**We are looking for the following in our Support Workers:

- **
- Someone who has a real passion for caring and helping people
- Ideally at least 6 months experience of working in a care environment
- Flexible in their approach to work
- Ability to work on shift/rota pattern - Days and Nights available
- Good written and verbal communication

**The Service**:
Treetops is a 28-bed residential service based in the beautiful countryside of Derbyshire. We specialise in supporting people with enduring mental health difficulties including people who also have a learning disability who require 24-hour care and support due to their complex needs and/or challenging behaviours.

Our Care packages are developed in partnership with the individual, their support network and our multi-disciplinary team, we aim to ensure that all identified needs are met promoting empowerment and achievement for the persons receiving support and care.

We promote strong links with the local community facilitating people to access local amenities, public transport and education opportunities. We hold the belief that this enables social integration and aids effective independence. The home also has a structured programme to assist individuals back to work through supported commercial activities within the home and at other locations.
