**JOB DESCRIPTION**: Payroll Assistant, Agile Talent Team

Manchester (or can consider other UK locations)

As a key part of the Agile Talent Community, this role is essential to the efficient operation of the Agile Talent Team. You will support our payroll lead with payroll related activities to ensure contractor payments across three different payroll avenuesare all processed accurately and on time.

The role will suit someone who is looking for variety in their role and, as the Agile Talent Community is a new service to the Firm, you will also have the opportunity to support continuous improvement initiatives and drive efficiencies.

A look into the role

As a Payroll Assistant within our Agile Talent Community Team, you will:

- Build and maintain good working relationships with all colleagues and stakeholders
- Ensure consultants are assigned the correct income and cost categories, setting up and maintaining supplier accounts within the Finance System
- Support the preparation and timely submission of payroll input and work closely with the payroll teams to resolve issues and queries across various processing avenues (purchase ledger, dependent worker, and outsourced payroll)
- Attend calls and meetings with consultants to respond to queries
- Support the Payroll lead as required on ad hoc activities and management information reporting
- Keeping clients up to date with changes in Payroll legislation and the effects for them

Knowing you’re right for us

Joining us as an Agile Talent Payroll Assistant, the minimum criteria you’ll need is:

- Ability to work on your own and within a team
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail, sometimes under time pressure and working to deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Experience with MS Office - Outlook, Word, and Excel in particular
- Proactive, methodical, and flexible mindset

It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.
- Previous experience of working in an outsourced payroll department and team would be beneficial
