Cdm Advisor

Landmarc Support Services are currently recruiting for a CDM Advisor to join the Projects team, as the CDM Advisor you will work remotely from anywhere in the UK, but regular travel to all of our UK sites will be required. Landmarc faces an exciting future as we continue to gear-up for the Defence Training Estate Support Contract where the future contractor will play a pivotal role in managing an Estate of some 9000 Assets spread across 200,000 hectares of land in all four constituent parts of the United Kingdom. In this capacity, we oversee a range of construction related activity from routine maintenance and refurbishment up to major capital works on both buildings and infrastructure. On each of these projects, Landmarc may fulfil any one - or a combination - of the principal CDM duties of Client; Principal Designer and Principal Contractor.

Primary Duties
- Manage, develop and continuously improve on CDM related processes and procedures.
- Ensure that CDM guidance is provided, understood, implemented and followed throughout design and construction projects
- Provision of continued development and delivery of a CDM 2015 awareness training for Landmarc staff
- Assisting with the compiling and issuing of Pre-Construction Information.
- Assist regional project teams with RIBA stage design reviews
- Reviewing and commenting on Principal Contractor's Construction Phase Plans and advising when these are considered developed sufficiently for work to commence on site.
- Carry out H&S assurance checks on key projects
- Provide guidance and assistance to regional H&S managers and Project Managers on project H&S assurance check procedures
- Assist with the compiling and issuing of Project Health and Safety Files
- Conduct and manage CDM audits as a member of Landmarc’s audit team

What you know / have
- Knowledge of CDM regulations gained through proven, evidenced and demonstrable experience. Ideally supported with an appropriate qualification and a membership of the Association of Project Safety, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of construction H&S gained through proven, evidenced and demonstrable experience.

Desirables - Time served in a technical (mechanical, electrical or building fabric) field.
- Experience of working within the Defence, Local Government or public sector environment.

- Manage multiple projects, with the ability to prioritise and schedule the workloads to ensure CDM 2015 compliance to support successful project delivery.
- Self-starter, committed to the successful delivery of the CDM Advisor’s outputs.
- Be prepared to travel when required to the six regional areas of the UK Defence Training Estate.
- Ensure that relevant CDM 2015 and H&S requirements are implemented and maintained.
- Manage and work effectively and efficiently with consultants and contractors.

Prerequisites for employment

Full driving licence valid in the United Kingdom (essential)

Complete Baseline Personnel Security Standard - this is compulsory for all personnel who work for Landmarc Support Services Limited as Official Defence Contractors.

Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to achieve national vetting level of Security Check, which requires UK residency for the last five years.
