Despatch Operative

We’re currently recruiting **Despatch Operatives** to join our busy **baked goods distribution team**. If you’re reliable, hands-on, and thrive in a fast-moving environment, this could be the perfect role for you.

**We have got a part
- time role available - 20 hours per week ( 4PM - 8PM)**

**We have got a full - time role available - 40 hours per week (1PM - 11PM)**

As a Despatch Operative, you’ll be responsible for making sure freshly baked products are carefully and accurately packed, handled, and despatched to customers across the region — maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and efficiency at all times.

**What You’ll Be Doing**:

- Receiving and checking deliveries of baked goods and packaging materials
- Carefully packing products for safe transport
- Checking for damaged or missing stock
- Storing products safely in temperature-controlled environments
- Picking orders accurately and loading goods for dispatch
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace, in line with food safety standards

**This Role Involves**:

- Working in a fast-paced food production and despatch area
- Manual handling and lifting
- Standing for extended periods
- Physical tasks including cleaning and stock movement
- Working day or night shifts, including weekends

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Previous warehouse, dispatch, or FMCG experience - ideally in a food or bakery setting
- Strong attention to detail and product care
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures (preferred)
- A positive attitude and willingness to work to high standards
- Team player who can follow processes and meet tight deadlines

Pay: £12.42 per hour

Work Location: In person
