Stores Assistant

**Key Responsibilities**
- Establish and maintain accurate stock records in Lean, ensuring transactions are executed in an acceptable timeframe.
- Unloading of deliveries.
- Forklift truck operation.
- Identifying / Labelling stock.
- Checking physical quantities received against paperwork and reporting any discrepancies.
- Locate materials to stores locations
- Picking and packing orders
- Continuous cycle counting
- Investigate and report all incidences of stock inaccuracies.
- Establish, maintain and monitor adherence to agreed standard operating procedures.
- Deputising for the Stores Supervisor as required.
- Carry out kitting operations to support the Assembly Department.
- Participate in 6S procedures.
- Establish and maintain high standards of housekeeping within the department.
- Support with other forklift truck operating requirements on site as and when required.
- Carry out other duties as required to meet business needs.
- Carrying out regular racking Inspections.
- Carrying out equipment / machinery safety checks.

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**
- Document management experience.
- Good levels of literacy and numeracy
- Good, confident communication skills.
- Able to work well within a team culture and independently without supervision.
- Computer literate
- Forklift Truck Operation

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £7.71-£12.00 per hour
