We are looking for a Research Specialist multiplex immunohistochemist / Digital slide scanning Facility Manager to join our team.

**The Opportunity**:
The post holder will take full operational and financial responsibility of a specialised multiplex immunohistochemistry and digital slide scanning facility. To conduct research experiments utilising specialist techniques as a fully costed deliverable or by providing expert technical guidance to empower research activity: train and supervise other members of staff to a specialist level in these techniques. Ensure financial sustainability of facility, growing customer base and deliverables, future proofing by identifying and delivering novel techniques or planning capital equipment purchases. Deliver formal training annually for PhD and M.Sc. student intakes.
**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- Relevant postgraduate qualification or proven relevant technical experience, demonstrating development through involvement in progressively more demanding work roles.
- Excellent technical problem skills, resulting from owned technical expertise in field.
- Demonstrated experience of working in either research, diagnostic or commercial laboratory.
- Requirement to understand, conceptualise and interpret the requirements of staff and students.
- Expert practitioner.
