A vibrant, fast paced technology company that provides IT Support, Services and Solutions to the SME market is looking for a Server and Network Engineer to join the Security & Compliance team due to recent growth. Your time will be split between home and their Camberley office, and along with a negotiable salary of c£50,000 per annum, you will also receive a range of benefits including a pension scheme, parking and more.
**As Server and Network Engineer, your responsibilities will include**:

- Understanding risks, vulnerability and attack vectors facing the business and clients
- Remotely monitoring and managing infrastructure across client base
- Designing and agreeing patch management schedules, overseeing the team’s daily management of patching
- Performance management, making changes to ensure security and best practice
- Being point of contact for all P1 escalations and related incidents
- Coordinating with technical / helpdesk teams to resolve incidents, maintain, and improve client infrastructure
- Working with a real-time alerting system to improve and remediate alerts to keep escalations at a minimum
- Assisting the junior individuals, and prioritisedelegate work where required

**We are looking for a Server and Network Engineer who has the following skills and experience**:

- Experience in identifying threats, configuration of devices, servers, deployments and troubleshooting infrastructure hardware including firewalls, switches, and Access points
- Strong working knowledge of Windows Server OS and other related roles
- Strong Knowledge of virtualisation technologies, specifically Windows Hyper-V including implementations such as Replication, Clustering, and Failover/Load Balancing
- Strong knowledge of server and network hardware & manufacturers (HPE/Dell/Cisco/Palo Alto/Zyxel)
- Storage solutions such as NAS, SAN, or DAS
- Experience with Backup & Restore
- Experience in scripting and automating configurations
- Strong knowledge of Firewalls: configuring and troubleshooting access lists (ACLS) NATPAT and routing
- Switches and WIFI Technologies including Access points and strong knowledge of WIFI and network performance management
- Experience in network monitoring and configuration (inc SNMP) and DNS (Record types, propagation, types of DNS server), DHCP, IPV6/IPV4
- Experience in Network Segregation (VLAN), NAC, DMZ
- VPN Implementation and troubleshooting

- Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in work and a desire to ensure the highest standards are maintained including documentation and cyber hygiene
