At Hutchison Catering we are a team of experienced professionals who tailor our catering service provision meeting the bespoke requirements of each school and client that we serve across the UK.

**We are currently looking for a talented and proven Cook in the York area. A term time position (44.6) paid weeks, £10.88 per hour, 10.5 hours per week.**

As well as having excellent presentation and communication skills, you will be able to demonstrate a real passion for food and service and possess lots of enthusiasm.

What would we like from our Catering Manager?

- You will have experience within a similar role, strong supervisory experience and be financially and commercially astute
- Able to demonstrate your analytical approach to problem solving and have the ability to display a real passion for food and customer service

Catering Manager/Cook requirements:

- Ensure that the catering department achieves the financial targets
- Monitor the work of all the staff and carry out appraisals, recognise training needs and potential as appropriate. Have the ability to train and inspire
- Hold team meetings on a regular basis to communicate targets, standards required and company
- Ensure that customers are given a prompt and efficient service and that their food service and value expectations are consistently exceeded
- Be creative and innovative, Be up to date with current food trends
- Ensure that all standards and procedures in respect of Hygiene and Safety are established and maintained
- Have an understanding and ability to work with Word and Excel.
- Be naturally outgoing and vibrant
- Have excellent organisation skills and demonstrate great attention to detail
- Have a minimum 1 year kitchen experience in a similar environment
- Ideally have Level 3 NVQ, C&G 706/2 or equivalent.

**Working Wednesday and Friday on site - 08:30 to 1:45.**

**Cooking for 75 children.**
