Production Team Leader

KnitMesh Technologies Ltd are currently seeking a talented **Production Team Leader** to join our dynamic team based at our Head Office manufacturing site in Holywell, near Chester.

**The role**:
The primary responsibility of the role is to ensure products are produced on time, to specification, in an efficient manner.
- Manage the production plan to complete customer orders on time
- First line manager for the production team, providing day to day management.
- Raise and discuss problems with managers and colleagues to find solutions.
- Ensure compliance to product specifications.
- Administration of production including job paperwork, timesheet approval, etc
- Ensure the smooth flow of materials into and through the department.
- Check goods are safely packed prior to despatch.
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety standards and good housekeeping
- Control of consumable stocks, reporting any requirements to purchasing team.
- Lead by example with “hands on” production work to support the production team as required.
- Experience of working as a team leader / leading hand in a production environment.
- Preferably worked in a ISO9001 environment.
- Basic IT skills including Excel
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable in both office and factory environments.
- Knowledge of industry tools such SPC, 5S, continuous improvements, would be an advantage.
- Salary circa £35k basic (plus upcoming pay award)
- Paid overtime (1.5T, 2.0T)
- Working hours are Monday to Thursday 08:15 to 17:00 and Friday 08:15 to 13:00.
