**About Us**:
More Life Home is a small, grass roots not-for-profit organization working to support vulnerable people in East London dealing with the issue of Furniture Poverty. We save furniture items from being sent to landfill and instead redistribute them into the homes of those that need it the most. We are a young company, passionate about ensuring everyone has access to low cost, good quality furniture whilst also reducing the number of items that go into landfill and hurt the environment. We function from a public facing warehouse based in Crossharbour, E14 and a preloved clothes and homeware shop in Aberfeldy Street also located in E14. Due to an increased demand for our services and growth within the company we are now excited to be recruiting a new Van and Warehouse Supervisor.

**Job Role**:
More Life Home is seeking a Van and Warehouse Supervisor to help manage the warehouse, supervise staff and volunteers and handle duties for senior management 2- 3 days per week to begin. After the initial trial period this will increase to 4 - 5 days. We are looking for an individual who is a confident driver, efficient and comfortable becoming an integral member of a rapidly growing company.

**Duties will include**:

- Driving the van to complete collections, deliveries and removals
- Moving and delivering furniture both in the warehouse and at the job site
- Being responsible for ensuring customers are dealt with or correctly signposted
- Assisting the senior management with relevant tasks
- Supervising staff members both inside the warehouse and at the job site
- Handling delivery/collection routes successfully
- Manual Handling

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Ensuring delivery and collection jobs are completed efficiently and professionally
- Choosing and preparing stock to be issued to Furniture Bank clients
- Supervising a small team to complete daily tasks
- Working with management to implement new systems and oversee warehouse and van activity
- Assisting with online sales
- Taking stock of warehouse supplies and materials
- Helping manage stock on our various online stores
- Being a point of contact for a range of customers and staff
- Processing donations delivered to the warehouse
- Completing administrative tasks relative to collection and delivery jobs
- Dealing with customers
- Dealing with new inquiries
- Training new staff

**Essential Skills and Experience**:

- Full Valid UK Drivers Licence
- Must be able to follow GPS/Car Sat Nav
- Confident in working as a team leader/supervisor, training and integrating new team members
- Previous experience in having worked in management or supervising a team
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team
- Good spoken English
- Previous experience having worked in furniture removals

**Non - Essential skills that are considered to be a bonus**:

- Previous experience having worked or volunteered with a charitable or non - for - profit organisation
- Proficiency of Microsoft office skills and/or Google Docs
- Knowledge of and living in the East London area

**Location**: Based in E14 Tower Hamlets. Will be driving mostly in East London but occasionally other parts of London.

**Pay**: £100 - £120 per day depending on experience. 25 -30 hours per day over 3 - 4 days.
