Dog Groomer

**Job Overview**
We are looking for a qualified and passionate Pet Groomer to join our Wagging Tailz team. As a Pet Groomer, you will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling pets according to breed standards and client preferences.
- Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, identifying any health issues that may require veterinary attention.
- Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment by regularly cleaning tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ needs and grooming options.
- Handle animals safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
- Assist in managing appointments and scheduling to ensure efficient workflow in the grooming salon.
- Lift and handle pets of various sizes, ensuring their safety during grooming sessions.

**Skills**
- Strong customer service skills to build rapport with clients and address their concerns effectively.
- Knowledge of veterinary care is an advantage, enabling you to recognise potential health issues in pets. (not essential).
- Experience in animal care is essential, demonstrating your ability to handle various breeds with confidence.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting could be required as the role involves handling large or heavy animals during grooming sessions.

Pay: £13.50-£16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
