We have an exciting opportunity to join our Northbrook management team as Head of Learning for Broadwater and Shoreham campus. We are looking for an inspirational leader with a passion to maintain and grow partnerships and the ability to motivate teaching and support teams to deliver an outstanding student experience. As a Head of Learning, you will report to the Vice Principal and be part of a Head of Learning team responsible for the direct line management of teaching and support staff at our Broadwater and Shoreham Airport Campus.

Main purpose and scope of the post:

- To deliver an annual set of KPIs as agreed with the Vice Principal.
- To promote high standards of teaching, learning and assessment within the area, producing high standards of student achievement, progression and value added.
- To undertake quality improvement activities to support the curriculum area needs and promote new ways of learning.
- To lead the strategic growth of the curriculum area in all areas of provision to include funded and non funded courses.
- To promote the strong, positive reputation of the curriculum area and the college, through relationships with external stakeholders, schools, employers and parents.
- To work collaboratively and innovatively with staff to ensure a culture of self-assessment and continuous improvement.

You will require demonstrable record of promoting teaching, learning and assessment to a consistently high standard and have knowledge and understanding of curriculum delivery planning and administration within Further/ Higher Education.

You will be responsible for managing budgets, physical resources and supervising or managing a team.

You should hold a Certificate in Education or Post Graduate Certificate in Education (or equivalent); hold a Level 3 qualification in a relevant area and have a Level 2 Literacy, numeracy and ICT qualification.
