My client a leading edge fashion footwear specialist, providing style conscious customers with innovative shoes to suit every occasion, require an Assistant Footwear Technologist to support the Technical Team to establish and monitor brand quality requirements.

You will help develop own buy product that is both fit for purpose, fashionable, meets customers quality expectations whilst minimising returns. Monitor Supply Base in terms of Quality and CSR.

Main Responsibilities:

- Assisting the Senior Technical Team in achieving brands desired quality and fit of all product
- Conducting/Assisting in Fit Sessions for ranges; writing fit reports, communicating with suppliers, and updating all trackers
- Working closely with Buying & Merchandising to develop product to specification, minimising returns, and standardising fit
- Managing Product Testing in line with critical path. Assessing and suggesting testing requirements.
- Chasing Test reports and analysing results. Assisting Senior Technical Team in approvals.
- Liaising with Suppliers & Factories; managing Factory and Audit trackers, chasing all audits for approval
- Managing the internal wear trial programme
- Visiting & assessing Factories in terms of their Quality Standards and CSR
- Liaising with the warehouse on incoming quality checks and dealing with any issues arising
- Using internal systems to manage returns reports and liaising with buyers and suppliers on any issues arising
- Liaise with stores to gain information about potential issues with product and help with training/education
- Managing store communication concerning product checks and recalls
- Visiting Warehouses on a regular basis to monitor quality
