**Overview of Role as a Depot Assistant**

As Transport Assistant you’ll be part of the Transport team that manage the company’s fleet of vehicles which will include scheduled vehicle maintenance, the checking in and checking out of vehicles and ensuring all documentation is correct and up to date.

**Key tasks will include**:

- Coordinate team drivers
- Ensuring all vehicle data is up to date
- Ensure all vehicles are delivered in line with company service level agreements
- Ensuring all vehicle tax is up to date and correct
- Managing costs of deliveries and collections to maximise output and minimise costs.
- Check and scan all rental agreements onto our bespoke system
- Keep systems up to date with all on and off hire vehicles.
- Liaise with repairers on a daily basis to coordinate vehicles being taken for repairs or ones that are ready for collection.
- Assisting the depot manager with collection of data and liaising with our four other depots on a daily basis.

- Up to date knowledge of all Microsoft packages
- Confident and approachable with a positive outlook and attitude to work
- Ability to work under own guidance and as part of a team
- High level of numeracy and ability to deal accurately
