A leading multi model logistics business is looking for a Transport Planner to join their Wakefield office. As an experienced Transport Planner you will assist in planning routes; managing drivers and ensuring the fleet are maintained. _**The role will be on a permanent night shift.**_
As a Transport Planner you will assist with the day to day running of vehicles to ensure prompt and on time deliveries to customers. You will be required to update transport systems to track vehicle, trailer and job status to meet delivery timings. You willensure vehicles and trailers are serviced and MOT'd before being used and assist drivers in managing their hours and break requirements to be compliant at all times. You will also be required to assist drivers and customers with queries and any issues thatarise during a route.
The role will be based in their Wakefield depot and the working hours will be on a permanent night shift; Monday - Friday shift pattern. Some flexibility will be required during the training period. On offer is a salary of £28,000 - £30,000 per annum dependingon experience as well as a number of company benefits. The role will have the opportunity to increase salary to £34,000 - £36,000 per annum following a successful 6 month probationary period. The company are a growing business and can offer opportunities forfurther development and promotions.
