Showsec is recruiting for a Booking Agent on a 6-month fixed term contract to play a key part in our Booking Department which is a crucial support service for our operational activities.

Join us and you’ll be part of a team that provides a key function to support the continued success of Showsec. This is a demanding and fast paced role providing a front-line service to the Operations Team ensuring all events are staffed appropriately and adequately.

The Booking Department is open seven days a week. The hours are set according to business needs and may vary throughout the year.

**This is not a permanent role.**

**What you will be doing**:

- Acting as the initial contact point for our Casual Workforce. Engaging and supporting casual workers & identifying their needs. Providing first contact resolution and building sustainable relationships and trust with our Casual Workforce
- Creative advertising on business communication platforms for upcoming and last-minute shifts
- Follow communication procedures guidelines and policies in handling Casual Workforce complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure a resolution is provided.
- Managing shift change requests and cancellations as requested by your Team Leader
- Supporting and liaising with Operations Personnel

**What we need from you**:

- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Experience within a busy office environment is desirable
- Strong administration skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to prioritise own workload and work to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Computer literate and competent at using Microsoft Office, experience in bespoke staff booking systems is desirable
