Quality Assurance Officer

You will be responsible for conducting Quality Assurance Audits within our Underwriting Services Department to monitor adherence to underwriting guidelines and licence authorities.

You will analyse the compliance standards achieved and provide ongoing assurance of adherence to regulatory requirements. Proactively identifying areas for improvement where required and work with the business to implement remedial actions.

Experience of Auditing within an insurance background is essential along with a good knowledge of FCA Rules and Regulations. You will conduct quality assurance audits within other departments to assess service quality and adherence to internal processes.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To carry out monthly Technical Quality Assurance Audits
- To carry out Quality Assurance Audits within our Finance and Agency Teams
- To conduct monthly complaint audits
- Provide timely staff feedback reports to Team Leaders and Managers
- Carry out trend analysis and recommend areas for improvement, including training needs
- Produce regular management information and reporting on audit outputs, monthly results and trends, to enable the Senior Leadership Team to assess and mitigate associated risks
- Liaise effectively with all business areas on QA feedback and remedial actions
- Ensure all breaches identified from QA and other assurance activities are correctly recorded
- Escalate all highly rated or critical issues to the Senior Internal Auditor, Head of Risk and Compliance and Head of Underwriting
- Assist with the development of the QA Framework and associated policies and procedures
- Ensure weekly / monthly KPI and work state reports are kept up to date, escalating any concerns to the Senior Internal Auditor
- Assist with Adhoc QA and Compliance duties or projects, as assigned by the Senior Internal Auditor or Head of Risk and Compliance

**About You**:

- Good knowledge of FCA Rules and Regulations
- Auditing Experience working in an insurance background
- A proactive ‘can do’ and flexible attitude. Be able to recognise priorities at short notice
- An excellent standard of literacy, numeracy and attention to detail
- Self-Motivated and good organisational skills. Able to manage own workload and deliver against deadlines with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work independently and confidentially
- Good analytical, problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing, and ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to build successful relationships with a number of stakeholders
- Champions the compliance culture and acts as a role model
- Takes responsibility for own development
