**What you will be doing**:

- As an architect specialising in the ML domain, you'll build technical relationships across the organisation and operate as a trusted advisor, ensuring most value from the cloud at every stage of their journey in adopting Machine Learning
- You'll manage the overall technical relationship, for Machine Learning related projects, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency to accelerate projects.
- You will be the voice of the customer, sharing their needs and wants to inform the roadmap of AI/ML features. In this role, your creativity will link technology to tangible solutions, with the opportunity to define or invent cloud-native Machine Learningreference architectures for a variety of use cases.
- You will participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts) and evangelise about running Machine Learning workloads and industry ML trends (e.g. throughworkshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences).
- Oversee the technologies and options for deploying, inferencing, and monitoring machine learning models online at scale, along with the associated patterns and standards.
- Work with scientists to develop architectures which improve the speed of iteration and experimentation of machine learning features in production, while also improving overall AI and data product awareness and appreciation.
- Work with the wider architecture community to continually improve upon ML capabilities and reach across the estate.
- Assist in ensuring the smooth delivery of products, solutions and initiatives that empower the organisation to obtain greater value from its investments.
- Work within the immediate team of solution architects to strategically evolve the architecture estate that enables analytics and AI.
- Be an ambassador for the technical capability of Tech both internally and externally.

**What you will need**:

- Cloud technologies that cover the big data, analytics and AI/ML domain is essential with experience using Azure highly advantageous
- AI platform related technologies such as Azure Machine Learning and ML Flow.
- Container technology, specifically Docker and Kubernetes
- Data persistence technologies such as Cosmos DB, MongoDB, SQL Server
- Data and analytics engines such as Apache Spark (knowledge of Databricks is a plus), Elasticsearch, Synapse Analytics
- General programming languages and frameworks, in particular python and/or Scala and.NET
- General technology practices and development lifecycles such as agile and CI/CD but also those enabling more efficient employment of data and machine learning such as DevOps and MLOps.
- Deep learning frameworks and machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and XGBoost.
