A great opportunity to make a real impact on the planning, strategy, and efficient use of Heathrow’s entire estate. This newly created role will see you unlocking space supply, balancing internal customer demands, and driving future investment for our post-COVID recovery.

Your influencing skills will be used at the senior leadership level to guide change in the way we use Heathrow’s available space. As the most efficient two-runway airport in the world, resourceful use of our space is paramount in our ability to provide great service to passengers and to our colleagues. You will be steering change at one of the largest employment sites in the UK.

As the guardian of all space, your previous operations, commercial and strategy knowledge will help deliver our vision. Bringing a unique blend of creativity and passion, your relationship-building and influencing skills will be used to deliver commercial value and business efficiency. This role will see you working closely with current space owners at Heathrow, including Director-level members of the Operations Leadership Team and Commercial Leadership Team to ensure space delivers our business plan.

**Your role will involve**:

- Establishing ownership and usage of all space across the estate and ensuring it supports the delivery of the business plan
- Growing and maintaining relationships with key space owners including understanding their current and future needs
- Providing solutions and influencing the commercial outcomes on space consolidation and creative/collaborations within the existing footprint
- Developing the team’s standing for all space inquiries across the business; establishing and steering a space governance process that transparently captures future demand and governs space allocation, ownership, and accountability
- Managing internal and external data experts and consultants to establish benchmarks so that current and future use of space maximises outcomes for passengers and colleagues
- Establishing and maintaining the space quality and quantity standards are transparent and consistent across the estate
- Contributing to the long-term redevelopment strategy for the estate
- Being a significant contributor to the development of business cases, identifying opportunities for capital investment to grow/improve spaces and ensuring they are consistent with our masterplan
- Supporting the Commercial Telecoms manager in contract management with accountability for the Commercial Telecoms Profit & Loss and revenue line frameworks

**These skills are essential**:

- A proven history of excellent stakeholder management at all levels including board members
- Demonstrable working knowledge in using empirical evidence to underpin strategies
- Previous working knowledge influencing decisions up to and including Executive Committee and Board level
- Proven ability to think strategically and communicate complex concepts to a range of internal audiences
- Demonstrated ability to deliver creative space solutions that meet commercial obligations
- A background in commercial, operations or strategy with complex solution delivery

**Ideally, you will also have**:

- Previously been accountable for functional profit and loss and inline revenue
- A background in property or space planning
