The Financial Assurance Analyst supports the provision of assurance over the accuracy and integrity of financial information and providing recommendations to improve the operational control environment around processes that affect the financial statements.This function is responsible for ensuring balance sheet reconciliations support the accuracy, integrity and completeness of the financial statements through cyclical reviews and a mechanism for feedback of valuable improvement opportunities and identificationof risk. The role will provide a partnering opportunity with the wider organisation during completion of contract reviews to ensure adherence to IFRS.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support the Balance Sheet review process
- Perform tests designed to substantiate underlying transactions supporting the balance sheet reconciliations
- Monitor the action tracker of agreed improvements to the balance sheet reconciliation process and assist with tests designed to confirm these actions have been addressed by the Reporting Unit
- Perform customer and other contract reviews to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Identify weaknesses in processes and procedures and provide recommendations for improvements

**Experience and Qualifications**
- Demonstrate progression towards a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Good level of excel skills and working exposure to data manipulation/analytics
- Some knowledge of financial accounting and accounting systems
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
