**About the role**

We are currently looking for an individual with a true passion for service. You will engage with guests and ensure they have an exceptional time, and always look out for new ways of improving the service and atmosphere in our restaurant. **Responsibilities**:

- Welcoming guests, guiding them through the menu, and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- When working as a Restaurant Head Waiter/ Head Waitress you will be the person in charge for the guest journey during our guest’s time in our Madhu's of Mayfair Restaurant.
- Have full knowledge of the food and drink offering in the restaurant
- Liaise with all team members and the kitchen to ensure swift and efficient food and drink service to the tables
- Ensure the team receive adequate briefings
- Assist with training and stock takes and ensure we have adequate stock for the shift
- Prepare the restaurant for service, and maintain a tidy and enjoyable environment at all times
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all menu items provided and identifying opportunities for up-selling and promoting when appropriate;
- Ensure team members work together and communicate to provide a continuously high standard of service to our guests
- Report and follow up on any comments, VIP arrivals or guest queries as they occur

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proven experience as a head waiter/waitress in a fine dining restaurant, preferably with knowledge of Indian cuisine
- Excellent knowledge of food and beverage pairings and presentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while upholding high standards of service.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Excellent command of spoken English
- Strong customer focus and ability to engage and connect with guests
- Ability to multitask and prioritise
- Flexibility to work a variety of shift patterns
- Strong leadership skills; having worked in a supervisory role previously is an advantage

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: £11.00-£15.00 per hour
