Reservations Sales Agent

As Reservations Agent you will assist in the effective operation of the reservations department to maximise sales for the hotel. You will ensure maximum revenue opportunities are achieved through execution and maintenance of all sales strategies implemented by the Reservations, Meetings and Events Manager. As Reservations Agent you will be guided to ensure consistency of brand standards and a high level of performance and service delivery. You will work very closely with the Meeting & Events Sales Manager and as a team member within the sales office.
**Key Job Responsibilities**
To assist in the operations of the Reservations department.
To assist in the management of all group bookings.
Conduct shift briefings and attend Hotel meetings.
Attend Operations meeting.
Assist in the hotel selling strategy and restrictions as directed by your Reservations, Meetings & Events Manager by changing rates and restrictions in Concerto.
Managing any 3rd party intranet sites and free sale.
Liaise and communicate special requirements to other departments
Prepare reports using both computerised reservation system and other computer software such as Word and Excel.
Record and manage bookings that failed to arrive.
Assisting with forecasting weekly and 3 monthly.
Attend Sales meetings
Manage STR Global and any other market intelligence website.
Chase all optional bookings.
Ensure reservations checks are completed every day as per hotel procedure.
Sell IHG products and services using up-selling and suggestive selling techniques.
