Grafton Banks Finance is recruiting an Interim Financial Controller on an exclusive basis for a rapidly expanding SME business with offices in Woking, Surrey. Some weekly remote working is on offer.

The CEO is looking for a “hands on” FC to manage the finances while a new Finance Director is hired on a permanent basis. You will need to be a fully qualified accountant, available at short notice and able to commit to a 3-6 month interim assignment.

**Areas of responsibility include**:

- Management of the Finance department, with one direct report
- Daily cashflow forecast management
- Preparation of the monthly management accounts and reports for the Plc, trading company and consolidated Group
- Preparation of monthly Board meeting packs and agenda
- Management of supplier relations and processing supplier payments
- Preparing and submitting monthly VAT returns for the Group, and liaising with HMRC
- Overseeing other tax and regulatory/compliance with HMRC and Companies House
- Calculating and paying quarterly interest due on Convertible loan notes, and dealing with withholding tax requirements
- Review and submission of monthly payroll amendments (including overtime, expenses and sales commission) to outsourced payroll company
- Managing the invoice financing facility and relations with the Bank, including quarterly audits
- Management of the workplace pension scheme, including monthly submission of contribution schedules, payments and auto-enrolments
- Preparation of ad hoc reports as required
- Dealing with the escalation of credit control issues when required
