**Description**:
It's an exciting time at AXA Insurance, with significant investment planned to transform, deliver new digital services to our customers and streamline and automate our business processes. As part of this, we're looking for a talented individual to join our Claims Technical Services Team (CTS) on a permanent basis.
As a Field Technical Claims Professional, you will be supporting and strengthening our Technical Strategy and have a positive influence on domestic and commercial property buildings claims through holistic technical oversight. This role would suit a person with expertise in either Surveying, Loss Adjusting, Engineering and conversant with construction principles, general insurance policy wording, an understanding of the Value at Risk, and building claims validation.
At AXA we work smart, this role is non-office based meaning you could predominantly work from home or visit a client site. You will be located in the South or South East of England.
**What you'll be doing**:
- Strengthening our Technical Strategy and have a positive influence on domestic and commercial property buildings claims through technical oversight.
- Developing and enhancing AXA's control framework in relation to building spend across Household and Commercial Property claims.
- Conduct Quality Reviews of internal and external users to ensure accurate scoping, adherence to AXA Scoping Guidance as well as our Philosophies and Standards.
- Provide remote provision dealing with low value, up to maximum £50k complexity referrals.
- Contributing to the management of the Surveying Team referrals inbox.
- Establishing close working relationships with Claims Operations and wider stakeholders in Supply Chain.
- Ensure AXA is fully aware of its obligations in relation to relevant legislation, i.e. Health & Safety, CDM, Asbestos etc. and changes thereto.
- Monitor market trends & cost changes/inflationary factors in the construction market and external factors which could have an inflationary affect, i.e. labour/material rates.
- Provide technical provision to internal claim handling teams, and help develop the teams so they can remotely scope more complex buildings claims.
- Complaint/dispute resolution; investigate, attending site as appropriate, report and make recommendations on claims as appropriate.
- Support Operational and Field in surge events.
**Qualifications**:
**What we are looking for**:
- A combination of a recognised Insurance and Building Experience.
- Proven track record in an insurance claims environment with detailed knowledge of Domestic and Commercial claims ranging from £25K up to 1m.
- Loss adjusting or Claims Specialist with experience dealing with large complex Retail and Commercial property claims.
- Strong working knowledge of construction pathology pricing, design, and defect analysis.
- Ability to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Insurance Philosophies, Principles and Perils.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of consistently delivering to agreed goals.
- IT literate with experience using scoping and project management tools.
- Full Driving Licence.
Desirable:
- Experience working for or within the Insurance Industry.
- Working knowledge of the subsidence claims process is an advantage.
- Knowledge and experience of effective drying and restoration processes.
- Knowledge of industry standard scoping software.
- Understanding of CDM and Health & Safety.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
