We are looking to hire a **H&S** **Apprentice **to join our HSEQ team in Coventry.

The Arena HSEQ team are custodians of the Arena Safety Management Systems. The team includes members overseeing Safety & Health, Environment, Sustainability, Social Values, Quality, and Infrastructure. The team supports many programmes and projects, from delivering world renowned sporting events to oversight of the maintenance of the Arena estates and facilities.

Health and Safety Apprentice is a part of the Arena Health & Safety team and supports the development of Arena safety arrangements. Part of this role is undertaking a Safety, Health and Environment Technician Apprenticeship at Level 3.

**Main duties & responsibilities**:

- Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of the Health, Safety and Environmental management systems.
- Assist with Health & Safety improvement activities and the promotion of a positive safety culture.
- Complete audits to ensure compliance to legislation & Arena polices and standards.
- Proactively contribute at the HSE employee representative meetings.
- Provide assistance in accident investigation reporting.
- Prepare and maintain records relating to Health, Safety and Environmental matters that comply with legal and workplace requirements.
- Contribute to wider business training requirements & play an active supporting role in the co-ordination of training activities.
- Contribute to Arena sustainability activities in line with the company Net Zero plan**.**
**Academic requirements**:

- GCSE (or equivalent) at A*-C/4-9 in English
- GCSE (or equivalent) at A*-C/4-9 in Mathematics
**Other requirements**:

- Confident, diplomatic with a keen attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Practical hands-on approach to problem-solving
- Possess a high level of integrity & confidentiality.
- Desire to learn and develop in the HSEQ field
- Full UK driving licence an advantage.
