**Job Description**:
**Job Purpose**
Responsible for the training, retention, supervision and management of Care Professionals to enhance the knowledge, skills and competency within their roles.
**The Role**
- Deliver the Induction Training programme for all new Care Professionals, ensuring they attain the relevant level of competence to deliver their role.
- Complete on the job competency assessments to ensure Care Professionals have the right skills and knowledge.
- Responsible for delivering training as outlined in the Care Professionals Development Journey for all Care Professionals, ensuring all relevant refresher training is completed within the correct timescales.
- Support with the day-to-day management of the Care Professionals
- Conduct regular Care Professional supervisions, in-service support visits, medication & moving and handling competencies, specialist sign offs and annual appraisals
- Develop and maintain highly supportive relationships with all Care Professionals
- Monitor staff welfare, morale, and wellbeing
- Support with Care Professional team meetings and social events.
- Support to ensure employee files are compliant, up to date and accurate.
- Ensure compliance with Home Instead’s Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities Policy, in respect of employment and service delivery.
- Participate in shared on-call duties as required.
- Carry out any other duties deemed necessary for the successful operation of the business.
**Qualifications**:
**Essential Criteria**
- Must have relevant training experience.
- A good knowledge of health and social care.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate and motivate others, helping them to achieve their potential.
- Flexibility to work outside 9-5 Monday to Friday to meet the demands of the business.
- Good working knowledge of IT Systems with experience of Microsoft Office or Google Suite, working with databases and virtual communication platforms with the ability to learn and adopt new technologies where appropriate.
- Highly resilient and positive with excellent communications skills.
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills with the ability to work calmly and accurately under pressure.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Must have a full driving licence and means of transport if required within the territory to visit clients.
