**Job Duties**:
This is a one year fixed-term post with the option to extend the role depending on further funding.

With the support of the Senior Research and Evaluation Officer, the post holder will be responsible for designing and conducting a robust evaluation of the Housing Support Grant Service set up by the Strategic Partnerships Team. This service aims to improve outcomes for adults experiencing homelessness with drug and alcohol support needs. The evaluation will underpin decision-making for future service provision and feed into the national evidence base for ‘what works’ for this population through reporting back to the Office of Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID) as part of a national programme.

Although based in the Public Health Evidence & Intelligence Team, the post holder will be required to work across the Public Health and Adult Care Services (ACS) directorates in a seamless manner.

The role will require proactive and effective joined-up working with a range of colleagues in ACS, Public Health, the data protection department, as well as other internal and external stakeholders.

Due to continuous change in Government Policy, the focus of the role may vary.

The main purpose of the role is to:

- Work closely with the Senior Research and Evaluation Officer, other Research and Evaluation Officers, the Public Health Commissioning Manager and the Strategic Partnerships Team to develop a robust, deliverable mixed-methods evaluation framework for the Housing Support Grant Service
- Work closely with ACS and Public Health colleagues to put in place appropriate quantitative data collection processes to meet the needs of the evaluation
- Liaise with analyst colleagues in ACS and Public Health to ensure robust analysis of quantitative data
- Undertake qualitative data collection, transcription and analysis using appropriate methods
- Keep ACS and Public Health colleagues informed of the progress of the evaluation through verbal and written updates and attendance at relevant group meetings as required, including regular attendance of the monthly Public Health Evidence & Intelligence Team meeting and relevant stakeholder meetings
- Present the findings of the evaluation in a high-quality report which includes recommendations and robust conclusions relating to the impact of multi-agency working on service users with complex needs to improve health, housing and wellbeing outcomes
- Disseminate the findings of the evaluation to senior managers, commissioners, and stakeholders through verbal presentations, as required
