**The main responsibilities of this job role will include**:

- Working towards **Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship**.
- Supporting the development of the childcare provision.
- Providing an excellent range of activities that ensures that the child learns **whilst having fun**.
- Being a team player.
- **Providing challenging and stimulating activities for all children**:

- **Supporting children’s learning and development.**:

- Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources for the children.
- Preparation of food for breakfast, snack and afternoon tea.
- Supporting children’s self-help needs.
- **Being creative and enthusiastic**.
- Following Safeguarding rules and regulations to also meet the Standard of the Childcare Apprenticeship.
- Working within the **early years curriculum** to provide new activities for the children
- Providing new activities for the children
- Tidying the nursery
- Preparing the children for school and taking those next steps
- indoor and Outdoor activities.

This nursery in Highgate has been open since 2004 and is situated in beautifully converted church buildings near Dartmouth Park Hill. With **open plan layouts for the main rooms and **large secure gardens*, there is plenty of light and space for explorative, creative and educational play whatever the age group.

As well as the well-resourced play rooms and baby room, they have a calm and quiet cot room, a preschool classroom and a professional kitchen where our on-site chef prepares balanced varied and nutritious meals for the children daily. Everyone at this nursery is focused on **putting the needs of the children** first; from the on-site chefs cooking fresh and nutritious meals to the highly trained early years workers and fully qualified PGCE, QTS & EYT teachers.

**Salary**: £5.28 per hour
