We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Specialist, Business Continuity to join our Pershing team. Pershing provides a broad range of financial business solutions to investment banks, broker-dealers, wealth managers, financial planners, and advisers across EMEA. We provide sophisticated front-end technology and flexible middle office capabilities with execution, settlement, and custody services. These are supported by a robust regulatory and compliance framework with dedicated client asset experience and expertise. This role is in Liverpool and is Hybrid.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Acting as Resilience Coordinator, responsible for advising and assisting Resilience Leads and Resilience Administrators across Pershing EMEA in maintenance of business continuity plans, held within the Fusion platform.
- Leading on Business Continuity testing, including notification testing, procedures, logistics and annual sign offs. Working in collaboration with each business function ensuring we are compliant with auditable regulatory and enterprise-wide requirements. This will include tracking progress and providing weekly and monthly management information.
- Assist with or organise user acceptance testing following any change, including disaster recovery exercises, data center rotations, software releases or large-scale projects. Including identifying business testers, issuing instructions and tracking test results. This will likely be conducted out of hours, including weekends.
- Providing Business Continuity updates to clients upon request, as part of due-diligence or Request For Proposal questionnaires.
- Representing Pershing EMEA at Enterprise and Pershing-wide Business Continuity forums. Including providing updates on our preparedness or recent operational incidents and tests.
- Providing training as necessary related to Business Continuity including senior stakeholders.
- Incident management, including assisting and guiding Resilience and Business Leads during operational disruptions or tests. This will include gathering operational impacts, providing incident alerts and in extremis may include chairing the Pershing EMEA Crisis Management Team meeting and may include out of office hours work.
- Leading or assisting with post incident / test reviews to ensure lessons relating to Business Continuity are captured and action plans are produced and implemented.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to collaborate across all business functions.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to train and guide others through Business Continuity requirements.
- Proficiency with excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience of project work, including implementation of new processes and regulations.
- Experience working in Business Continuity roles is preferred.
- An industry recognised Business Continuity qualification (such as CBCP) is desirable.
- Experience working in financial services is preferred.
